SOL31, Meh4
So, the challenge is done.
What did it gain us?
A peek into each others lives?
Losing about 20 hours of our lives?
When you think about it, we gain little.
So why do it?
Is it for the sense of completion?
Forming into a group of people?
Why?
So it is done.
Meh.
In the long term,
It is just meh.
I spent time I can never regain,
and I spent it for apparently no reason.
So why did I do it?
Maybe it was so I know that I did something other people didn't.
Maybe it is that I did it last year.
Maybe it is that my friends do it.
I do not know.
But I did it.
Meh.
Will anyone remember this after March?
Probably not.
But we did.
And we won.
So, congratulations to everyone that did it.
Meh.

SOL30, Dog Sitting
This week our family is watching over our neighbors dog, Casey. We already have one dog who is a mix-golden retriever, who is very energetic, even though she is old. Casey is a large burly white dog who is droopy and not very energetic. She likes to chew on toys, which our dog does not. They are just opposites, yet they like each other. As we live right next to a park, it is goose season. This morning, a goose flew onto our roof, and both dogs went crazy. They were barking and pacing about, something that neither of them would normally do, but because there were two of them they did. Casey is one of those dogs who wants to see everyone in the house, all the time. Take this morning. I woke up to the sound of her avidly ramming against the door to my room, so I let her in and she instantly left.
At the beginning of our time dog-sitting her she was very relaxed because of separation anxiety. When we would come into our house, she would just look at us, lying on the floor, and she would wag her tail by avidly thwacking her tail into the floor behind her. She is now more comfortable, so now she runs over to us and wags her tail instead. It is cute. Sadly, she has to be returned to her owners on Saturday, sadness. Anyways, she is very cute, droopy, and old, so she is good.

SOL29, Musicals
SOL29, Musicals
Musicals are in my blood, I have grown up with them and my entire family loves them. Take today for example, I decided to watch The Sound of Music and Mary Poppins, two classics that I love. I have seen both of them many times, but enjoyed them this time again. I know all of the songs, as my family also does. Rodgers and Hammerstein musicals are pretty impressive, and are some of my favorites. Some of my fondest memories are of watching very old (1930-50) musicals with my grandmother, who also particularly enjoys them, specifically Oklahoma. Oklahoma is a very old, interesting musical that is very dark and weird. There are many happier musicals that I also enjoy, such as Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, another weird one. I have watched many musicals, but stick with the classics, such as the ones I saw today. Our family watches a wide variety of movies, though. Take right now. We are currently watching The Fifth Element, a confusing old science fiction movie about the end of the world. Just look it up. Anyways, our family enjoys an odd variety of things, especially musicals.
Looking at the days prompt, i guess this ends up sort of applying.

SOL28, Guinea Pig Reverse Haikus
SOL28, Guinea Pig Reverse Haikus
For those that do not know, I own two guinea pigs, Norman and Bamboo. They are cute, but needy and sometimes obnoxious, and yes, squeaky. Today, for example, they were very squeaky, loud, and kind of intrusive.
They sit, squeaking in their cage,
nothing I can do,
they will not accept any food.
I hold them for quite a while,
it is to no avail,
they squeak no matter my efforts.
Oh well, I have to give up,
they are there squeaking,
forevermore, for all time.
I just wish they would be quiet,
for they are guinea pigs,
and guinea pigs will always squeak.

SOL27, Another One
Another one I say as I write,
trying to complete my march plight.
Any topic I could scheme,
from cars to whipped cream,
of writing on them I can only dream,
for my life is not that fascinating,
and writing I would be hating.
So, while this slice is like yesterdays
and it wont amaze,
because I am writing it in a hurried craze,
hopefully this last minute style post is just a phase.

SOL26, Nothing
I have given up,
I really have no clue.
I have been slices for so long,
I h ave written quite a few.
Now, I have ran out,
and this slice will probably fail,
so this is what I have,
A poem to no avail.
So this is my slice for the day,
it is really sad.
But, at least it counts,
even though it is not very rad.
So this is it,
I have nothing planned,
so this slice will be quite short,
and it will have nothing grand.

SOL25, Lonely Frankie
SOL25, Lonely Frankie
For those that do not know, Lonely Frankie is the single fish at the bottom of my blog. If you have not already, go down and pay him a visit. He really appreciates the love 💙. I took him under my fin this Wednesday. He used to be a homeless fish living in the reef, until I added him to my small family.
Frankie’s old home was in the great barrier reef. Due to global warming and tourism his home was destroyed, and he soon realized that his coral home would never be the same. He joined a small group of fish migrating across the sea to America, a land supposedly filled with many fish and reef families. He swam up the Colorado River to Denver, but to no avail. All he found was a large amount of people and marijuana shops. He settled into his daily routine of sleeping through his depression, and at nights he would swim to different puddles in streets hoping to get run over.
He no longer found a reason to live, and he just wallowed in dank, murky puddles constantly filled with other fish, and he was not happy at all. He eventually swam up through the city and into more urban neighborhoods. Gladly, I found him once he got into one of the lakes in Wash Park, and I brought him to the empty tank at the bottom of my blog, where he now happily resides in its dark colors.
It has been several days since he has tried to be run over, and he is now happily living. He is a permanent part of the blog family of my home page, and is a guest in this post. Hopefully once he is rehabilitated he can be released back into his home, and I can find him a family.

SOL24, Finally
Finally.
It is finally usable to me.
For those that do not know,
my computer was a hater.
I could not plug it in.
I then had to disassemble,
Remove the pieces,
And get the charger part.
Today it showed up.
My computer works!
(Somewhat)
It is not fully running yet,
but it is back!
No more computer jumping.
I can bring and work on one consistently.
I do not have to worry about being logged in!
I can have privacy!

SOL23, My Soul
Do you get it?
I do not have a soul, but I do have a dark mind that is scary at times. Therefore it is non-existant. Many can most likely relate. This is brief, but accurate, and a large portion of my non existant life.

That is the intention, after all.
To be meh.
I am good at being meh at life.

SOL20, I Do Not Know of a Prompt
I do not know,
I simply, really, do not,
I am out of prompts,
I certainly have blogged a lot.
But at this point, blogging has me swamped.
But I have tried so.
I am lost at this point,
as to what to write,
There are only so many a topic,
In which writing would not be blight,
And my blogs are now all myopic.
They are now all disjoint.
I no longer have anything to post,
Nothing more to discuss,
I have nothing more to say,
not to cause a fuss,
Or give up just past halfway,
I refuse to give up at "almost!"

SOL19, Language Change
SOL19, Language Change
I am not against change. I may not like all change, but I am capable of reforming for change, and changing things like schedules. In this post, I will talk about one change that I am not okay with. At all. That change is the language program at school. This will not be the most interesting post, but whatever.
A few beginning points.
I am most likely not going to take languages next year. For those that do not know, the school is getting rid of the AS language teachers. Yes, all of the good ones. They are replacing them with a computer system of learning languages. I hold nothing against this language program they are just replacing several really good teachers with a program that I will not learn well from. It saddens me to see the school make as large of a mistake like this. It is a mistake because all of the people who have been with the language program who are seventh graders will not be taking a language for their final year, at least most of the people I have talked to.
Pros:
There is a larger variety of languages you can take.
It is personalized to each student.
You can take them from home and in school.
Eliminates "Zero Hour" school system
Do not need fluent teachers, just supervisors, although K-6th still needs fluent teachers
Costs a little bit less in the long run
Cons:
Computers can not fairly judge pronunciation or conversation. They can only judge grammar and a robot voice.
There are not any games or fun parts of the language program. It is just sitting at a computer.
The school is having to buy many new computers, and hire new staff members to teach language.
There will not be projects on culture and food.
There is no food or culture, so we will just know the language not the place and the world behind it.
It is not hands on, it is just a bunch of students sitting in a room and not interacting.
Overall, it is not as fun.
It is harder to learn and memorize when you are just told something and not taught it in conversation.
There is nothing like phrases of the day or other fun things you learn in the language that are not made just for being practical.
I know that I will not benefit as much from learning from a computer as I would from getting to know a person and culture.
There is a wide variety of covered topics.
Students get told how to fix mistakes.
More of a Loganesque approach
Less student experience with language
Overall, there are a lot of cons, and I do not think that it will help the school because why on Earth would someone prefer to talk to a computer than a person. The school will regret the decision in the future, as fewer people will partake in the language program, and in the long run it is not that cost effective and the students will learn many of the benefits of actual people teachers. It is just awful and stupid in my opinion. These are my main reasons, and I just felt like ranting about this today.
I am frustrated, and done with this topic now.

SOL18, Uncommon Opinions of MIne
SOL18, Uncommon Opinions of Mine
I do not like carbonated drinks like sparkling waters. Coke, and those types of drinks are OK, but I still do just have a strong distaste for soda and other carbonated drinks.
I do not enjoy pools that much. I do not hate swimming, I just do not think that it is worth going a lot to pools. They also make me freak out about germs, because, just ew. It does not help that I am not great at swimming, but still, I hate pools.
Peanut Butter. I just really do not like the taste or texture of peanut butter, crunchy or smooth. It is just in no way appealing to me.
I do not understand the recent Chipotle fad. It is not that good to me, and I also think that a lot of their menu and their "extras" are overpriced and not worth it. I would prefer to make my own Mexican style food at my house than to go to Chipotle.
I do not understand the enjoyment of Zoos. People pay money to go and see a bunch of animals that are trapped in small areas and learn a very brief account of very complicated animals. can sort of understand the enjoyment of going to see animals, I just think they are always kind of sad looking.
I do not like or understand super technology advancements. In my opinion it does not make sense to make humans lives ridiculously easy. Why is it so hard to plug in a projector cord? It just costs money to buy that kind of technology for things like the school, and it does not improve the presentations. It just bothers me because we are literally making a thing that can over run us later.
Ketchup. I just do not think it is as good as people say it is, and in my opinion you might as well just eat a tomato, it is healthier and it is not just paste. I just really do not like it or understand it.
I do not really enjoy popular pop music. There are some that I like, like some Adele or Taylor Swift, but most of it I just do not understand the appeal of it. A lot of it does not take a lot of talent, and while it is hard to write it just does not seem like it is so in depth that it should be as popular as it should be.
I do not enjoy or understand football at all. To me it just looks like people repetitively tackling each other to no end. I just do not get why it is appealing, when you could watch sports like soccer that show really incredible athletics. To me, at least, football does not look like it takes that much athletic skill.
I do not understand why so many people hate the Kardashians. I do not think that everything they do is great, do not get me wrong. The reason that I do not hate them is because they show that being yourself can make you famous and influential. The same thing goes with Youtubers, famous people who have gotten a paying career on social media by being themselves and putting themselves out there. Yet again, I do not appreciate all of the decisions they make, but they have made influence for themselves just by being themselves. It is amazing what they have done by being themselves.

SOL17, Younger Fuzzy
I have a second Guinea pig named Bamboo. He is much younger and newer, so I do not have anywhere near as long of a list of stories for this slice as I did for Norman. Bamboo is a much more laid back squeaky one.
He was gotten around the beginning of December. I bought him from the Dumb Friends League, a company with many, many cute piggies. I brought him home to live with Norman after Norman was very senile, unusually, and we thought that it was loneliness or pig depression. I picked him between two siblings, both male, and I picked him, the older one. He started out as about one half the size of Norman, and now he is the same size. His age is now fifteen weeks. He is very cute and he is a great addition to my pig family.
He is very loud at night. I cover their mansion at night with thick blankets. I do this for two reasons. The first of which is that they are warm, and our house gets cold at night, and I wanted them to be cozy. The second reason is that they sleep better in pitch dark, so it calms them down, and it makes it so I can actually sleep through the squeaks. This quieted them down for a while. They were much more agreeable in the morning, and they were really pleasant for a while. They now have started to squeak through the blankets, so I now have no solution to this problem anymore. Oh well.
When they first met, it took a long time for them to get accustomed to each other. I had to give them time in our bathtub. This is because a bathtub is a clean place that does not have any smell to one of them. They took a lot of adjusting to each other, and they were reluctant to be best friends, but they settled in. They settled in like they were a very old Russian couple who lives in the Alps. They were that comfortable with each other. I only made that comparison because Bamboo also seems like a Babushka to me, so that is what I always think about when I think about him.
I have not had Bamboo for that long, so these are all of the stories I have about him. These stories are not quite as cute, but he is my other pig, so I thought it was important to post about him as he is a cute young fuzzy.
SOL16, Eldest Fuzzy One
I have a Guinea Pig. His name is Norman. I got him over the summer, he was given away from a neighbor, who was giving him away. When we first got him he lived in a horrendous cage. It was covered in cat litter box stuff, and obviously had not been cleaned in a month or more. I spent hours cleaning it, and it sparkled. He was very timid and shy, but I consistently had to hold him so he was not terrified of people. He is very sweet and squeaky now.
He is like a normal guinea pig except for that he does not believe in easy loving or moving. Whenever I clean the cage he is nearly impossible to catch. He eats everything everywhere. He ate his old house. He eats his new house. He is just very random. He is sometimes a cute unicorn. He only eats carrots, any other vegetable he refuses for some odd reason.
Recently, I bought him a friend. More on that tomorrow. He is happier with a BFF.
Not long after I got my phone I took him outside for a miniature photo shoot in an outdoor play place. The first time I took him out he jumped out of my arms and escaped into a massive pile of leaves. I died as soon as I saw that. I frantically searched until I found him. Luckily he was ok, and not dead. I, stupidly, went through with the photo shoot. Luckily no other mishaps occurred, and he is still happily living.
Recently, he got a very large tumor like growth on the bottom of one of his feet. It looked like a long piece of bark curling along the bottom his foot. I know. Gross. We took Norman to the vet, and she had never seen anything like it before. She cut it off. Lets just say that after that he acted very frustrated and painful. It was unpleasant for the both of us.
Anyways, this slice went all over, but this is a basic profile of everything about him that is unusual to Guinea pigs. He is a fun pet, and I love him through all of his purring craziness and escapades. These are the most recent and interesting story that I have with him, and they are some of my favorite pet memories.

Everything was just. Meh.
Nothing exciting happened.
Math was normal.
We did some geometry.
The normal stuff.
Buddies was not extra ordinary or bad.
It was blah.
Nothing exciting happened.
He did not finish a project.
We did a write up.
It was just meh.
Short courses were ok.
World Peace Game was frustrating.
Nothing special happened.
a coup happened.
The prime minister was removed.
but meh.
People were just, meh.
Nothing interesting happened today.
A gray swatch of schedule.
Nothing unique,
unusual,
radically life changing.
nothing happened special today.
It was all just meh.

SOL14, Wow
SOL14, Wow
12 hours leads us to now.
13 hours later.
6 Hours of school.
45 minutes of Latin.
Good turnips.
2 hours of play practice.
20 minutes of practice role call.
1 hour of constructing a presentation on old art.
1 hour of portfolio.
2 hours of math.
2 large pieces of pie.
2 hours of CCN.
4 hours of practice
30 minutes of eating.
30 minutes of trying on costumes.
3 hours of a run through.
40 minutes of my scenes.
15 minutes of changing out of costume.
45 minutes of stupid notes.
30 minutes of driving.
5 minutes of break.
5 minutes writing this slice.
Now.
1 hour later.
Here I am.
Confused.
How did it go this "fast"?
So much time passed.
Yet so little for each thing.
So many things construct a long time.
How do you have time for each specifically?

SOL13, Long
SOL13, Long
Today was long.
Very long.
When we first showed up I was energetic.
Introvert kicks in in 5.
I have dinner with friends.
4
The first act begins
my "monologues" are successful.
3
I miss an "entrance"
The teacher harshly points it out
0
It dropped, just like any chance of the rest of the evening being successful.
I start dropping lines
I can not seem to say simple sentences.
I sit reviewing in the back.
Reviewing.
Over and over.
Trying to memorize
I can't.
Notes begin.
Yes of course, everyone has to know that I missed saying three stupid words.
my "entrance".
That is by far the most important note,
not.
oh well.
It is what will get focused on.
End of the night.

SOL12, Stuff
SOL12, Stuff
Stuff.
There is stuff everywhere.
The "rainbow curtains" fell for the umpteenth time today.
The rolling cart got tripped on.
The tapes fell off.
The stairs turned to be used as a seat are used as a shelf.
Each stair containing more stuff.
The wood shop has even more stuff.
the ex-shop.
Now a Logan works thing.
The costume rooms have more stuff.
A huge painting of a random woman.
Several random wigs.
stuff.
Somehow,
the stuff has value.
Even if it fell for the umpteenth time today.
Stuff is very important to theater.
Just look at the costume room.
Yes, way to much stuff.
Gargoyles,
feathers,
wood,
paint,
a suit,
stuff.
How often do use use such stuff.
Often?
No.
It is stuff, so it is important.
All humans crave stuff.
Stuff surrounds us as we phone (general for many different things).
We knock over stuff.
We venture into the shop and see more stuff.
There is dust on the stuff.
It is old stuff.
We are excited to go home.
At home we see more stuff.
Stuff surrounds us.
Old.
New.
It is all stuff.
Theaters have a lot of stuff.
I saw a lot of stuff today.
Sitting in the dusty theater,
underneath the old blue lights,
dust drifting down from the open ceiling onto more stuff.
It is all just stuff.
Why is the theater so attached to it?
Has it been used in previous shows?
sometimes.
Is it still necessary?
No.
Hold on.
Why is there a pig nose on the piano in which are ballet shoes?
It is simply more stuff.
Not that we do stuff with the stuff.
It is just stuff for the sake of having stuff.
The stuff makes it stuffy in here.
It is all stuff.
The rehearsal is perfecting random stuff.
We are fixing up random stuff.
Theaters are based off of old stuff.
They are surrounded in random stuff.
Attractive stuff,
however.
The stuff surrounding them and their past pulls people in.
The stuff is unnecessary but cool.
It is all stuff.
Most people like stuff.
I like theater stuff.
Every theater's stuff is unique.
It is cool stuff.
I have decided that I like stuff.
No matter how stuffy.
